This Privacy Policy explains what personal data WebAtlas Cloud collects, how it is used, and which service providers process it on our behalf.

1. Controller

The controller of personal data is Igor Oprządek, operating under the WebAtlas and MevaSearch projects.

2. What data we process

When you create an account and use WebAtlas Cloud, we process the following data:

Account data: email address, password hash, account creation date, and basic account status.
Subscription and plan data: selected plan, API key, monthly usage counters, and active/inactive subscription status.
Technical data: IP address, request date and time, browser and device information, and basic server logs for security and diagnostics.
Analytics data: aggregated, privacy-first statistics processed by Privimetrics for service operation and traffic analysis.

Search Privacy: We do not log or store the specific content of your search queries. We only track the numerical count of requests performed by your account to enforce usage quotas and subscription limits.

3. Search Caching

To optimize performance and response times, WebAtlas Cloud caches search results. These cached results are stored for a period ranging from 12 to 48 hours. This process is fully automated and does not involve individual user tracking.

4. Why we process the data

We process the data for the following purposes:

to provide your WebAtlas Cloud account and API access;
to enforce plan limits, quotas, and API usage rules;
to maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical issues;
to operate privacy-first analytics through Privimetrics.

5. Legal basis

We rely on the following legal bases where applicable:

performance of the contract between you and us (account and API access);
legitimate interests in security and service operation; and
compliance with legal obligations where required.

6. Service providers

We use the following external service providers:

Hostinger – hosting provider. Data is stored on servers operated by Hostinger.
Privimetrics – privacy-first analytics system. It processes aggregated and anonymized traffic information only.
Polar.sh – payment processor when you purchase a plan. Payment data is handled by Polar.sh and is not stored by us in full.

7. Cookies and local storage

WebAtlas Cloud uses basic cookies and browser local storage only for essential website functionality, such as session handling, theme preference, and basic interface settings. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

8. Retention

We keep account and subscription data as long as the account remains active or as needed to fulfill the contract and legal obligations. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics.

9. Your rights

You may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, where applicable. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@weborbiton.com.

10. International transfers

Some services may involve processing outside the EEA. Where this occurs, we use appropriate safeguards, including contractual measures where required.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
